Case study · Quoting process
The stack becomes a single case.
At Innotech we built the quoting process that nobody had ever built. The effort per quote fell by 90 %.

At Innotech
One morning, twice.
Schematic. Only the two durations were measured: 300 minutes per quote before, 30 minutes today. The stations and their times show a typical process, the free time is calculated.
An enquiry comes in, by phone, mail or WhatsApp, usually with half the information.

Starting point
An enquiry comes in by phone, by mail, by WhatsApp, usually with half the information. Turning that into a quote burns hours. Not because anyone works too slowly, but because nobody ever built that process.
Approach
- 01
Understand
We recorded the process the way it really runs: from the arrival of the enquiry to the finished quote, system change by system change.
- 02
Design
The current process became a target process: enquiries from every channel land in one case, a person reviews and approves.
- 03
Build
The new process was built and tried out step by step with the people in sales.
- 04
Roll out
The rebuild went into daily work. We compared the effort per quote, before against after.
Result
90 %
less effort in the quoting process, our first rebuild at an Upper Austrian manufacturer.
Method of measurement
Comparison of the effort per quote before and after the rebuild.
30 instead of 300 minutes
