About us

Minotera is an AI, IT and process consultancy with its own implementation team for mid-sized manufacturers, above all in mechanical engineering and metalworking. We support companies from the first analysis to the solution that runs in operation. After every step, the customer decides whether to continue. Almost every project begins with a conversation with the management, and someone has to make that conversation happen.

That is why we are looking for you as an SDR (Sales Development Representative). You own the early phase of our sales: from the first signal through calling and qualifying to the prepared first meeting. Around a fifth of your time goes into organising our events, where many of these first contacts come about.

The role

Your job

You make sure that first meetings with the right companies take place every week and that every conversation is well prepared. To do this:

  1. You find the right companies

You research manufacturing companies with 50 to 500 employees, starting in Upper Austria. You watch for triggers such as growth, new sites or a system change and decide whom to approach first.

  2. You make the calls

You call decision makers, from managing directors through plant and production managers to heads of IT, and you follow up on our letter campaigns, emails and events. You stay on it without becoming a nuisance.

  3. You qualify

In the conversation you clarify whether there is a real need, who decides and whether the timing is right. If it doesn’t fit, you record that just as clearly.

  4. You maintain the leads

Every contact, every conversation and every follow-up is recorded completely in MOCO. The whole sales team relies on your data.

  5. You prepare the meetings

You coordinate the first meeting and write the briefing on the company. It contains everything the conversation needs, including the sentences the customer said on the phone in their own words.

  6. You organise events

You win organisers for guest talks by our management, plan our own events, prepare invitations and materials and follow up with participants. We give the talk; everything around it is yours.

An example

A machine builder from the Innviertel has received a letter from us. You call three days later and learn that production planning spends hours every week transferring bills of materials by hand. You arrange a meeting with the managing director. By then, a briefing with the company profile, contacts and the original quote from your call is ready.

Success

How your success is measured

By first meetings that actually take place. A meeting counts if:

  1. the company fits our target customers,

  2. someone is present who decides on the project or is responsible for it internally,

  3. a concrete need has been named.

Profile

What you bring

Essential

  • Experience in new business: several years as an SDR, BDR, in inside sales or in B2B cold calling, ideally for software, IT services or consulting.
  • Confidence on the phone, even with decision makers who actually have no time.
  • Independence: you plan your week, set priorities and don’t need anyone to tell you whom to call today.
  • Care in the CRM: you know that a lead without a note is worthless after two weeks.

Helpful

  • Experience organising events, from the first contact with the organiser to following up with participants.
  • Experience with AI tools for research and preparation.
  • Contacts in industry and an interest in where our customers lose time. You don’t need to know how to code.

Very good written and spoken German is required.

Freedom

Your room to shape things

There are call guides, templates and clear handover rules, and you are welcome to make them better. Within the agreed goals you decide yourself whom you approach, through which channel and in which order. You work directly with the management and our partner for letter campaigns.

Why Minotera

What to expect

  1. Your workplace

In the Quadrill Tower, above the rooftops of Linz, plus two days working from home per week.

  2. Short paths

A small, fast team with short paths to the management.

  3. Modern tools instead of paperwork

You work with AI tools, Slack, Google Workspace and Jira, and see every day how we bring speed to our customers.

  4. Good coffee

Colleagues who take grind size, milk foam and lunch seriously. If you can pull a good cappuccino, all the better; if not, we’ll teach you. ☕
